The winter ice freezing over the fish and seaweed below, listening to happy choruses of skaters and sledders ringing from the hillsides. Early bluebells springing forth from white-washed snow as robins proclaim the long-awaited arrival of spring. The blurry rush of baby birds taking flight, ducks and migrators arriving from the south, all that lives and breathes frantically searching for the most out of beautiful summer days, and sweat dripping as temperatures soar and rain becomes scarce. Mornings turn nippy with frost in the forecast, autumn photoshoots circle round, and squirrels scurry and dig to bury nuts for the food shortage ahead. All this as tree stands stoically by, a silent witness to years come and gone, children raised and grown, workers and relaxers finding solace in its peaceful serenity. A year has passed and a year has begun.
